Advanced focus on iTR

The EOS 7D Mark II’s AF iTR focusing system uses color and face information to recognize and track objects moving in the frame. AF response time can be adjusted with a simple tool that adjusts focus tracking to the shooting environment and the subject so that the focus is not affected by other objects that temporarily pass in front of the subject.

Measuring sensor with a resolution of 150 000 pixels with infrared detection

For consistent and accurate exposure measurement, the EOS 7D Mark II uses a 150 000 pixel sensor that divides the scene into 252 areas. Each of them is analyzed and then automatically set or suggested to the photographer the correct exposure settings. Infrared light is measured as well as light in the visible part of the spectrum for greater accuracy in complex lighting conditions.

The EOS 7D Mark II delivers excellent image quality with ISO up to ISO 16000 (expandable to ISO 51200 equivalent) – ideal for discreet city photography, freezing action in harsh environments, even in macro photography without a tripod.
