J.Shmidt is a jug, which as the only jug in the world has been equipped with a special pump (located in the lid), which produces a vacuum inside the jug, so that water can be quickly and effectively filtered through the filter cartridge with capillary membrane.

Cartridge (filter) Aquaphor JS500 is designed for tap water with a medium degree of hardness. 1 cartridge JS500 is enough to filter approx. 500 l of water depending on the degree of hardness of the water and impurities in it.

The average duration of the filter cartridge is approx. 4 months, after this time the cartridge should be replaced.

The JS500 cartridge is the only filter that, apart from the standard filter mixture consisting of active carbon (black grains), ion exchange resin (white grains) and Aqualen (grey threads), has a capillary membrane.

How does it work?

Why does filtration only start when you press the START button?

In the lid of J. SHMIDT 500 there is an automatically controlled micropump and a small microprocessor. To allow water to flow through the filter, it is necessary to create a vacuum inside the tank with unfiltered water.
