High quality, Italian activated carbon cartridge Atlas Filtri LA 20’’ BX designed to remove from the water compounds that worsen its organoleptic parameters (m.in. taste, smell and colour), chlorine, organic compounds, and heavy metals.

The carbon cartridge is designed for technical and domestic applications.

The cartridge is made in the form of a transparent housing made of non-toxic polystyrene, filled with high-quality granulated activated carbon from coconut shells (GAC). The construction is completed with a double O-ring flange with EPDM.

The use of high-quality components translates into high durability of the cartridge and ensures that the cartridge maintains the expected efficiency of water purification over time.

A feature that distinguishes the Atlas Filtri LA 20’’ BX carbon cartridge from other cartridges is having two o-ring seals in the upper flange, which perfectly fit into the Atlas Filtri BX 20’’ filter body. This makes replacement of the cartridge much easier than in standard filter housings and ensures the correct position of the cartridge in the filter body, thanks to which we can be sure that water is properly filtered (no bridging of the cartridge by incoming water).

The Atlas Filtri LA 20’’ BX activated carbon cartridge is equipped with polyurethane foam effectively retaining activated carbon dust at the outlet, thus protecting against its entry into the building’s water supply system.

Used in the cartridge Atlas Filtri LA 20’’ BX granulated activated carbon is made of coconut shells, which is considered one of the best types of activated carbon used for water treatment due to its high purification capacity, high adsorption capacity and purity.

The offered cartridge has been designed in such a way that the incoming water has the longest possible contact time with activated carbon, which provides an adequate degree of its purification. Water into the cartridge is introduced through the inlet holes only at the bottom of the cartridge and flows through the entire volume of activated carbon, maintaining an appropriate contact time.

NOTE!!! This Atlas Filtri cartridge in BX version (with double seal) is dedicated exclusively to Atlas Filtri filters from the BX series. It will not fit other in-line bodies available on the market for which flat-ended inserts are intended (without a vertical flange with gaskets).

To increase the life of the carbon cartridge, it is recommended to use a degree of mechanical filtration in advance, e.g. with string inserts.

The Atlas Filtri LA 20’’ BX carbon cartridge should not be used with microbiologically contaminated or unknown quality water.
