How to use
- Turn the thermometer on/off with the ON/OFF button.
- All icons will appear on the display for 2 seconds.
- Then the last temperature measurement will be shown on the display for 2 seconds.
- Then “37 °C/98,6 °F” will appear on the display and “°C” will start flashing.
- Place the tip of the thermometer at the measurement site.
- Wait for the measurement to finish, which will be signaled by the sound of “pip...pip” and the fact that “°C” will stop flashing.
- Alarm signal in case of fever; if the measured temperature is ≥ 37,8 °C/100 °F, the alarm signal “pip...pip...pip......pip...pip...pip” will be heard for 10 seconds.
- Read the measured temperature value.
Rectal measurement
- Insert the sensor tip into the anus for a few millimeters. If you encounter any resistance when inserting the sensor, stop immediately.
- When measuring rectal in an infant, place the baby on his back, on a hard surface and raise his legs so that they form an angle of 90 degrees, holding them by the ankles so that the body does not rotate when measuring.
- Keep the thermometer in this position for about 10 seconds. The beep indicates the completion of the measurement.
- After removing the thermometer, turn it off with the ON/OFF button (if you forget to turn off the thermometer, it will turn off automatically after 8 to 9 minutes).
Measurement in the mouth
- Place the tip of the sensor at the bottom of the mouth, under the tongue and close the mouth. Keep the thermometer in this position for about 20 seconds.
Measurement under the armpit
- Place the thermometer deep under your arm, parallel to your arm, and press your arm against your body. Keep the thermometer in this position for at least 20 seconds.
Warnings
- Before the first use and after each subsequent use, the thermometer should be cleaned with 70% alcohol. Use a soft, wet cloth to clean the thermometer display. Never immerse the thermometer in water or other liquid. Do not use other unrecommended methods to clean the thermometer.
- The thermometer is not a toy; it should be stored in a safe place, out of reach of children.
- When measuring temperature, you should never leave your child alone. The thermometer quickly measures body temperature in the range from 32 °C/90 °F to 42 °C/109,9 °F (tolerance ±0,1 °C/0,2 °F).
- The thermometer must be stored at room temperature, in a dry place and must not be exposed to heat sources or direct solar radiation (the maximum permissible storage temperature range is from –25 °C to +55 °C).
- Strong electromagnetic fields can cause the thermometer to malfunction.
