The universal drill bit is designed for impact-free drilling in ceramics, porcelain, glass, wood, plastics, brick, stoneware, aluminum and other soft metals.
The drill bit is made of hardened tool steel, and the working part consisting of four ground cutting blades is made of cemented carbide with precision ground edges that facilitate precise drilling start and do not leave burrs on the material being processed.
When drilling and metalworking, it is necessary to use the appropriate coolant, which significantly extends the life of the drill.
The surface of the drill is covered with a layer of titanium oxide (TiN)
TiN coating on tools is used to:
- reduction of friction coefficient at the contact blade workpiece material
- increasing the hardness of the blade
- reduction of diffusion (does not transfer the particles of the processed material to another processed material, e.g. in the treatment of acid-resistant steels or special plastics )
- reducing chemical effects on the blade
