Universal autumn fertilizer is a granulated phosphorus-potassium fertilizer, intended for autumn fertilization of all perennial crops, especially those wooding for the winter: trees, shrubs, shrubs and creepers. It is also perfect for growing vegetables and annual flowering plants, as it extends the flowering period and ripens fruits faster. Thanks to the high potassium content, autumn fertilizers stimulate plants to flower again, prolonged. Therefore, it is worth powering them, e.g. roses and perennials, blooming in autumn. Autumn fertilizers should be used in the summer (even from July, instead of nitrogen fertilizers).

The high potassium content accelerates the wooding of shoots, which protects less resistant plant species from freezing. Potassium regulates water uptake and evaporation processes in plants, making plants more resistant to water scarcity in winter. Phosphorus stimulates plants to produce a healthy and well-developed root system, which translates into better resistance to adverse environmental factors.

Most importantly - universal autumn fertilizer does not contain nitrogen, so it does not stimulate plants to intensive growth and the formation of young shoots, sensitive to low temperatures. The balanced composition helps plants enter a state of winter rest, as well as increases the winterfastness and frost resistance of plants.

How to use universal autumn fertilizer

Fertilizer can be used from mid-July, in order to better prepare plants for winter rest. However, the best time to start fertilizing with autumn fertilizer is August. Then the plants will be able to optimally use the supplied nutrients before the onset of winter. In recent years, changes in our climate have been observed, consisting in a significant extension of the summer-autumn period, which translates into an extension of the growing season of plants. Therefore, fertilization with autumn fertilizer can be repeated after 2 months. It should only be remembered not to delay fertilizing to frosts, because from the frozen ground plants are not able to take nutrients. Autumn fertilizer for conifers can also be used in spring if necessary, but it is worth supplementing it with nitrogen fertilizer.

Universal autumn fertilizer doses

During the recommended period, use 25 g (incomplete handful) * of fertilizer for every 1 m² of the area where plants grow.

Spread the fertilizer evenly around the plant and, if possible, mix with the top layer of soil, and after application, water abundantly. Fertilizer in contact with moist soil will gradually dissolve.

*one handful is about 30-40 g of fertilizer.
