❤ Conifers are one of the most popular plants in our gardens, they have gained their popularity due to their high resistance to bad weather conditions.

➡ PLANTING CONIFERS:

⭐In order to obtain good growth and staining, conifers should be planted in soils with acidic reaction.

⭐The best substrate for conifers is clay-sand soil rich in humus. The corresponding pH is between 4,8 and 5,8.

⭐Intervals in conifer plantings:

✔ spreading trees : from 3 to 5 m.

✔ column trees : from 2 to 3 m

✔ trees and shrubs for hedges : from 50 to 70 cm

⭐Selected species of coniferous plants are also suitable for planting in pots on balconies and terraces.

➡ FERTILIZATION:

⭐All conifers are sensitive to lack of magnesium, it is the basic component of chlorophyll.

⭐ Its absence causes disturbances in the synthesis of chlorophyll and worse photosynthesis, as a result of which plants grow worse, lose the green color of needles and turn yellow.

⭐ In a strong lack of magnesium, they wither.

⭐Proper care and regular fertilization of conifers should be carried out using multi-component mineral fertilizers containing micro and macronutrients.

⭐Conifers need fertilization throughout the growing season.

⭐To ensure optimal effect, we should alternately use different types of fertilizers.

⭐Different types and methods of fertilizing conifers (sprinkles, foliar fertilization) change with the changing seasons.

➡ WATERING:

⭐Young plants should be irrigated less often, but abundantly.

⭐Recommended depth of soil wetting 10-15 cm, preferably in the evening.

⭐In summer, during sunny weather, you need to remember to water regularly, on average every ten days.

⭐Coniferous trees like sprinkling, which increases air humidity.

⭐Older plants due to the well-developed root system do not require frequent watering.

⭐In autumn (if it is dry), remember to water the plants.

⭐Irrigated plants better tolerate severe winter conditions. Evergreen plants often wither in winter and early spring due to lack of water.

➡ CARE:

⭐The growth and general condition of conifers is favorably affected by soil mulching.

⭐Most often bark is used, which limits the development of weeds and retains water in the soil.

⭐The mulch decomposing enriches the soil with humus and improves its structure.

⭐For mulching, bark can be used, which should be composted beforehand.

➡ PRUNING:

⭐Coniferous plants do not require pruning, only damaged, frozen, dried shoots should be removed, or for illumination if the plants are too densely planted and too heavily shaded.

⭐Conifers are often trimmed to limit their size, or to give them the desired shape.

⭐The best coniferous plants that can withstand formation are: yews, Christmas trees, cypresses, junipers, larches, spruces and livers.
