This knife was designed in 1963 as one of the first folding hunting knives. Its immediate popularity has proven that such a solution makes sense and is desirable. This is the first knife that combined the strength of a knife with the possibility of folding.

The knife blade is made of 420HC stainless steel for superior edge strength and is finished with Buck's Advanced Edge2x Blade technology. 420HC steel is the standard material of these knives because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while providing corrosion resistance to chrome-plated stainless steels. By adding an exclusive heat treatment process, we get a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent wear resistance and durability. For best performance, it is hardened to Rockwell hardness Rc 58.
