The new Shimano Technium AS rod series is our response to the growing trend of commercial rainbow trout fishing on small tanks. Although dedicated in particular to standing waters, they will work great when fishing for chubs, trouts and perches for micro-baits, also in small, lowland and mountain rivers.
The new Technium AS model is the latest model in the Trout Area family of rods. We designed it specifically so that the angler can cast and control ultra-light lures. Technium AS is the perfect combination of modern design with excellent components at an affordable price. You will appreciate their versatile use and ease of use.
Technium AS fully carbon blanks are designed for the most demanding trout fishing grounds. These short, technical rods have a casting weight that allows you to handle up to 0,5-gram jigs and wobblers comfortably. Their secret lies in the parabolic work and moderate action, which allows you to “push” tiny lures over longer distances, while presenting a deep, parabolic deflection along the entire length of the stick during the lobby. High-quality Fuji KR-type guides, reinforcing lightweight, high-modulus blank, work well with thin lines and braids. The ergonomic Shimano IPS reel seat, on the other hand, has been chosen for comfort and sensitivity, and the cork handle gives the rod a professional feel. Technium AS are available in four different models: two lengths and two casting weights to best suit your requirements.
