⚡ HYDROSTATIC GEARBOX – Effortless driving

Automatic hydrostatic transmission is the standard among professional garden tractors and one of the reasons why working with BARAS ST 98H-V2 is so comfortable. Stepless speed control works on the principle of pedal pressure – the harder you press it, the faster you will go. No when starting, no picking the right gear for the hill. The drive is transferred to the rear wheels (18x8.50-8"), which provide excellent traction even on slightly damp or sloping surfaces. The minimum turning radius allows you to maneuver between trees, shrubs, and other garden obstacles without having to retract multiple times.

✂ CUTTING SYSTEM – precision at 98 cm width

The central cutting unit with two knives covers a width of 98 cm – this means fewer passes and shorter mowing time of the entire lawn. Seven degrees of cutting height adjustment (25 to 80 mm) gives you full control over the end result: from a short-trimmed representative lawn to a slightly higher cut preferred in the hot summer, when the grass needs more protection against drying out. The adjustment is done with a convenient lever without having to bend under the machine. The electromagnetic clutch of knives is a solution used by most leading manufacturers of garden tractors – it ensures smooth and safe switching on of the cutting system and very high reliability compared to traditional mechanical clutches. The reverse mowing button is placed in a convenient, easily accessible place – you can reach and mow in hard-to-reach corners of the garden without having to stop working.

Not every lawn mower tractor can boast a two-cylinder heart. BARAS ST 98H-V2 is powered by the original STIGA ST 550 Twin engine with a capacity of 586 cm³ and a power of 10,40 kW at 2600 rpm. Two cylinders are not only more power – they are primarily more even operation, less vibrations transmitted to the steering wheel and seat and a much longer life of the power unit compared to single-cylinder engines.

Quick coupler for washing the cutting unit reduces maintenance time to a minimum – connect the garden hose and you’re done.

🌿 TRACTOR WITH BASKET 240 L – less emptying, more mowing.

A spacious textile basket of 240 liters is one of the biggest advantages of this model. Thanks to it, you can mow much longer before emptying is necessary – the perfect solution for plots over 1500 m². Importantly, emptying the basket is done without leaving the seat – just a few lever movements. A grass tractor with such a large basket and such a convenient emptying system is a real time saver with every mowing. The textile construction of the basket is lighter than its plastic counterparts, which relieves the rear axle of the tractor and improves weight distribution when driving on uneven terrain.

❓ Can a lawn tractor handle sloping terrain? ✅ Yes. Large 18x8.50-8" rear wheels provide good traction on light to moderate slopes. On very steep slopes (above 15°) we recommend mowing along the slope.

❓ Can I mow without collecting the grass in the basket? ✅ Yes – the set includes a mulching insert (value PLN 372). Simply install it instead of the basket and the tractor will chop the grass, which will fall directly onto the lawn. The basket must be in place because it presses against the sensor that enables the blades to be activated.
