Arabinogalactan (AG):

Arabinogalactan is a type of dietary fiber that occurs in the cell walls of some plants (larch, fungi, aloe vera, carrots, tomatoes) where it has a structural and protective function. Arabinogalactan is a polysaccharide, a complex carbohydrate made up of many simple sugars, but it consists mainly of two sugars: arabinose and galactose in a ratio of 1:6.

The FiberAid dietary supplement was extracted from the cell walls of the larch. It is resistant to digestive enzymes of saliva and small intestine, thanks to which it passes intact into the large intestine, in which it is fermented by the microflora located there. AG fermentation is slightly slower than other carbohydrates, but it does not cause negative effects, such as: secretion of gases and flatulence and dissolving does not cause viscosity, unlike other soluble dietary fibers such as: arabic gum, carrageenan and guar.

Arabinogalactan has prebiotic properties, i.e. stimulates the growth of beneficial intestinal microflora. It also supports the production of short-chain fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory and protective effects on the intestinal mucosa. It also strengthens the immune system because it stimulates the activity of cells (natural killer), responsible for neutralizing mutated or diseased cells.
