Chicago 5 is equipped with 394 Sewing Programs, including utility stitches, decorative stitches, quilting stitches, 11 automatic buttonholes and lettering - 2 alphabets of 97 characters: uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, special characters.

The choice of stitches is made in a simple and quick way thanks to the numeric keyboard, just enter the stitch number and we can already use it. Individual stitches can be stored in the memory of the machine and combined into sequences. The parameters of each stitch (such as length, width, mirror reflection, lengthening, double needle sewing) can be individually changed by the user.

In addition, after setting the desired parameters, you can save them in memory to use them at a later time. Combination of stored stitches (e.g. inscription) can be stored permanently, so that after restarting the machine, they can be re-embroidered.

The clear and transparent LCD screen contains all the information we need to work. After selecting the stitch you need, its graphic pattern will appear on the LCD display screen. The screen will also show the recommended stitch parameters, which we can of course edit using the buttons on the housing.

The speed control knob and electronic motor control of the machine make the sewing speed adjustable smoothly and steplessly.

This model has an automatic hole to the size of the (11 types) button, as a result of which, in just a few seconds we will get the perfect hole without the need to laboriously measure the contours of the button and mark them on the material. Thanks to this, we can quickly make a series of holes perfectly matched to our button.

The needle positioning function means that with the push of a button we can determine whether the needle is to be completely driven into the material or pulled out of it after stopping the machine.

The machine has full adjustment of stitch length (ranging from 0-4,5 mm) and width (ranging from 0-7 mm) and very many super stretch stitches for delicate and flexible materials. Both settings are adjusted using the buttons on the machine housing.

The Chicago 5 model is equipped with the most modern rotary gripper, which has proven itself in industrial machinery. This modern solution provides bernette machines with fast, quiet and comfortable operation, without having to pull out the bottom thread before sewing (Quick System). In addition, thanks to this construction, putting on and removing the bobbin is simple and hassle-free.

On the reconstruction we find special thread cutters that make it quick and precise to cut off excess thread during threading or after finishing sewing.

Chicago 5 also has the ability to turn off transport teeth. This feature is useful when sewing buttons, mending or embroidering.
