The Ferrari logo is a distinctive symbol that is recognizable all over the world. Not only among automotive fans – the symbol of a black, kicking horse on a yellow background is for most of us an object of dreams and sighs, which (as Hollywood productions teach us) is a pass to the world of luxury.

The story dates back to the First World War, when the talented Italian pilot – Francesco Baracca honed his skills and quickly became an Italian hero. As an as of the sky on the side of his plane, he painted a black, kicking horse. Unfortunately, shortly before the end of the war — on June 19, 1918, Francesco’s plane was shot down, but its legend survived.

In 1923, Enzo Ferrari met the parents of an Italian hero. His father said: “Ferrari, put the symbol of the black horse on your cars. It will bring you luck. ” Enzo decided to listen to this advice, and added yellow background – the color of Modena. In 1932, the shield-shaped logo with a stabbing steed on a yellow background appeared for the first time on the Scuderia Ferrari racing car Alfa Romeo during the Grand Prix Spa.

In 1947 the first production Ferrari model debuted – 125 S. The characteristic logo, which has undergone minor modifications, could not be missing here. Instead of the shape of the dial, the rectangle was chosen, and the colors of the Italian flag were added at the top. The letters S and F at the bottom (Scuderia Ferrari) were replaced by the word Ferrari. Since then, on all cars of this iconic sports car manufacturer, we can find a characteristic symbol of a black, kicking horse on a yellow background.
