When our first son appeared in the world, after some time we were faced with the need to choose a high chair for feeding. The choice fell on the Ikea Antilop. Aware that it does not have a footrest, we started looking for the right product. Unfortunately, none of the offered on the Internet fully met our expectations. Hence the idea to design a footrest that meets all the necessary features:

• First of all, is fixed parallel to the ground, ensuring proper positioning of the child's feet relative to the footrest. When designing our product, we consulted physiotherapists who recommended a parallel angle of the toddler's feet relative to the ground. There must be a right angle between the footrest and the foot.
• Guarantees safe and comfortable position for baby during feeding
• It has an attractive appearance referring to the design of the chair
• It is easy to assemble
• Does not move on the legs of the chair and does not destroy them
• It has a large adjustment range of the mounting height (possibility to use from the beginning of expanding the diet)
• Its regulation is very convenient
• It has no sharp edges or protruding screws

Watching how our footrest works during use, getting feedback from customers, friends and family members every time we took all the suggestions and comments to heart. Our second son is already using the current version, improved over months and years.

This footrest is made of MDF laminated on both sides.

Thanks to this, it is not only very durable, extremely easy to clean but also perfectly corresponds to the appearance of the entire chair.

The plastic fastening clamps are designed so that the footrest when inserted into the legs of the chair is located parallel to the ground. Thanks to this, the child resting his legs has them at the right angle (right angle), which is recommended by physiotherapists.

The whole set, which includes a board, two plastic fastenings and a set of screws and nuts, is a complete product ready for use immediately after removing from the package.

Note: When using a feeding seat both with and without a footrest, the child should be under the constant care of an adult, strapped to the seat with the straps attached to it. The set does not include the Ikea Antilop feeding seat.
