HEEWING T-1 Ranger VTOL PNP with FX-405 controller

RC aircraft combining vertical takeoff and landing with efficient fixed-wing flight. The T-1 Ranger VTOL is equipped with a configured FX-405 controller with ArduPilot, three motors, ESC controllers and servos.

The model can take off without a runway, go from hover to horizontal flight, and then land vertically. The PNP version requires the addition of an apparatus, receiver, 4S battery and charger.

Vertical start without runway

During take-off, three motors generate a vertical thrust. After reaching a safe height, the front power units change position and the model goes into airplane flight.

The FX-405 controller uses the STM32F405 microcontroller, ICM42688 IMU chip, SLP06 barometer and ArduPilot software. The factory configuration includes modes designed for VTOL and fixed-wing flight, including QLOITER, FBWA and QRTL.

Before the first flight, the apparatus should be calibrated, the directions of operation of engines and steering surfaces should be checked and the receiver configuration verified.
