Muc-Off Tubeless Rim Tape 10m - 28mm

Muc-Off Tubeless Rim Tape is the absolute foundation and the first step in the transition to a tubeless system. This extremely durable tubeless rim tape is made of a proprietary material with superior performance that guarantees optimal flexibility while maintaining powerful tensile strength. Thanks to the use of a special pressure-sensitive adhesive, the tape perfectly adapts to the internal profile of the rim, creating a permanent and 100% airtight (hermetic) barrier to air and sealing fluid.

Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive & Semi-Transparent Pink

The tape features the iconic pink color of Muc-Off, making the interior of your wheels look great. What is extremely practical, its semi-transparent structure allows you to easily locate the valve hole without having to guess or cut in the dark. Each roll with a length of 10 meters allows for full wrapping of up to 4 wheels and comes complete with 4 sealing patches, which perfectly protect the end of the tape from peeling off.

Step by step assembly instructions▼

• Step 1: At the very beginning, thoroughly clean the rim with the Muc-Off Glue & Sealant Remover to get rid of any glue residue and old sealant.

• Step 2: Choose the right width of the belt to match the inner width of the rim (use our guide below).

• Step 3: Locate the valve hole in the rim.

• Step 4: Unwrap a piece of tape and start applying it and pressing it firmly on the opposite side from the valve opening.

• Step 5: Holding the start with your thumb, gently pull the tape back and press it firmly into the bottom of the rim for a durable, uniform bonding of the adhesive structure.

• Step 6: Gradually rotate the wheel, continuing to stretch and apply the tape evenly around the perimeter.

• Step 7: After driving the full circle, continue sticking further to create a secure tab about 10-15 cm long.

• Step 8: Cut the tape at a 45-degree angle and press the resulting edge very carefully.

• Step 9: Check the entire surface carefully for air bubbles or unglued edges – if you notice them, squeeze them firmly with your thumb outside.

• Step 10: Stick the included finishing patch directly to the edge of the tape cut-off to guarantee full tightness.

• Step 11: Push the tubeless valve through the hole in the rim, put on the rubber o-ring and locking nut, then tighten it securely.

• Step 12: Put the tire back on, inflate it to seal in the edges – the wheel is now 100% ready to pour fresh sealing milk!

• How to choose the perfect tape size?

The width of the tape should correspond to the inner rim width. This information can usually be found on the rim name sticker or in the technical specification of the bike. If you cannot find it, measure the distance between the inner walls of the rim with a ruler or caliper.

Gold rule: If the inner width of your rim does not exactly match the sizes offered, always choose a tape one size larger (wider).

• General guidelines for:

- Road / Gravel: width 17 mm & 21 mm

- XC / Trail: width 25 mm

- DH / Enduro: width 28 mm & 30 mm

- DH / Enduro Wide / Plus-size: width 35 mm

• How many wheels is one roll enough for?

The roll with a length of 10 meters allows for trouble-free application on 4 wheels (in a single layer configuration and a standard tab of 10-15 cm at the valve).

• Why are 4 sealing patches included?

They are used to stick on the final edge of the tape (at the cut-off point). They protect the edge from accidental tearing during tire installation and block the penetration of rare liquid under the adhesive structure.
