Epson EcoTank ET-5170 is a multifunctional inkjet printer designed for small offices and companies that value low operating costs and high work efficiency. The device combines printing, copying, scanning and faxing, while offering fast double-sided printing and convenient operation via the touch screen. Thanks to the EcoTank ink tank system, the printer eliminates the need for frequent replacement of traditional cartridges, which translates into significant savings in everyday use.

The EcoTank system based on large, refilled ink tanks is one of the most important advantages of this device. Instead of expensive cartridges, the tanks are filled with cheap ink bottles, which significantly reduces the cost of printing each page. The included ink bottles are enough to print up to 13 300 pages in black and up to 5 200 pages in color, making the ET-5170 an extremely economical solution for intensive offices.

The printer uses pigment inks from the EcoTank 113 series, which provide prints resistant to smudging, water and markers. This is especially important in office environments, where documents need to remain legible and durable for a long time.

Print speed is up to 37 pages per minute in monochrome mode and up to 23 pages per minute in color, and the first page appears about 7 seconds after sending the order. Such a short response time is possible thanks to the Heat-Free technology used in the PrecisionCore print head – the device practically does not require heating time, which at the same time translates into lower energy consumption.

The front cassette for 250 sheets and automatic document feeder (ADF) for 35 sheets significantly improve the daily work with larger batches of documents. Automatic double-sided printing allows you to save paper without having to manually move the sheets.

Operation of the device is carried out via a 6,1 cm color LCD touch screen, which allows intuitive and fast switching between the functions of the printer, copier, scanner and fax machine.

Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct wireless connectivity allows you to print directly from smartphones and tablets using the Epson iPrint app and the Epson Smart Panel. An Ethernet connector is also available for office environments with cable infrastructure, and a USB port is used to connect the computer directly.

Filling ink tanks is designed to be simple and clean – ink bottles have lockable tips that prevent spills when refilling. PrecisionCore head with Heat-Free technology is characterized by high reliability and long service life, which minimizes the risk of downtime.
