No, don't open the pendant! The protective agent is contained in a microperforated bag, which automatically releases the smell. If the foil bag is damaged, the preparation may fall apart and lose its effectiveness.

One pendant provides prophylactic protection against martens. After a marten attack, it is recommended to use two pendants – on the right and left side of the engine compartment – to increase the effectiveness of protection.
