Black Cassette
The black tripod screen cassette, such as the Blackbox™ 84, is an extremely well-thought-out technical solution, responding to the real problem of both home moviegoers and office perfectionists. Its key role is to radically reduce unwanted light reflection from the screen housing in situations where – due to trapezoidal distortion (keystone) – it is impossible to perfectly match the projector beam only to the reflective surface of the fabric. In practice, especially with the limited ability to position the projector in front of the screen, some of the light inevitably “pours” beyond the edges of the canvas, falling on the surrounding frame. If this frame were bright or shiny, it would reflect diffuse, scattering light, which significantly reduces the contrast perceived by the viewer, blurs blacks and reduces the overall depth of the image. The matte black surface of the cassette acts as a kind of light trap – it absorbs these stray streams of light, preventing them from reflecting back towards the audience. Thanks to this, we get an image with higher purity, better defined edges and increased dynamic contrast, even in imperfect installation conditions. It is a detail that transforms the screen from a passive carrier into an active element of the projection system, ensuring fidelity and immersion of the visual experience, ensuring that the viewer’s attention is focused solely on what is displayed on the fabric, not distracted by the environment.
Projection surface Reflon®
The screen is equipped with an innovative Reflon® surface – a high-quality polyester fabric on a PVC substrate, designed specifically for professional projection. It is characterized by a reflection coefficient (gain) of 0.8, which ensures natural, faithful color reproduction and excellent detail reproduction, especially in controlled lighting conditions.
The screen offers wide viewing angles of up to 160 degrees, guaranteeing comfortable reception of images from different points of the room. The special structure and density of the woven fabric weave eliminate the moiré effect, allowing high-resolution content, including 4K and 8K, to be displayed while maintaining crystal sharpness. The anti-reflective coating minimizes glare while maintaining black depth and color saturation, making the screen an ideal solution for both cinematic applications and professional presentations.
