The ultralight Ultralight Mattress is constructed using a single layer of air cells to achieve maximum lightness and compactness, while maintaining the comfort guaranteed by Air Sprung Cells technology.

The multifunctional valve is designed to make inflating and deflating the mattress as easy as possible. The valve provides one-way airflow, preventing valve leakage. The wide valve allows for quick inflation. The set also includes a special storage bag for the mattress and six self-adhesive patches along with a spare valve.

The Ultralight Mattress was awarded the title "GEAR OF THE YEAR 2014" by National Geographic Adventure and "BEST NEW GEAR OUTDOOR RETAILER SUMMER 2014" by Gear Institute.

• For maximum durability, the mattress is made of reinforced 40D Nylon. Inside, however, to achieve the effect of tightness and plasticity, TPU material was used. The outer layer of the mattress is covered with a thin PU coating, reducing surface slipperyness, increasing resistance to damage and facilitating spot repair with self-adhesive patches.
• A single layer of medium-sized chambers provides the lightest and smallest mat when packed without compromising our Air Sprung Cell™ comfort.

Air Sprung Cells

Air Sprung Cells™ is the core technology used in our mattresses. This is also the reason why you sleep on them so comfortably. Sea to Summit mattresses are built with numerous interconnected air chambers called Air Sprung Cells™. Air Sprung Cells™ chambers, adapting to the shape of the body, provide a feeling of softness and comfort.

Antibacterial coating

To prevent the growth of fungi and mold inside the mattress, we enriched the TPU coating with an additional antibacterial layer. This allows you to safely and hygienically inflate your mattress through one of the two valves available.

Ultra Light Series - Single layer design

Ultra Light products have a single layer of air chambers for maximum lightness and compactness, while maintaining the comfort guaranteed by Air Sprung Cells™ technology.

Pressed TPU coating

Our TPU coating is widely used in the medical and aerospace industries. The embossed coating is much more durable, compact and allows the use of the TPU formula. This is a much more effective technique than the lamination commonly used on the market, which is less resistant to delamination.

To prevent the growth of fungi and mold inside the mattress, we enriched the TPU coating with an additional antibacterial layer. This allows you to safely and hygienically inflate your mattress through one of the two valves available.

Multifunctional valve

To make folding and unfolding the mattress as easy as possible, we have created a multifunctional valve. The valve used to pump the mattress works unidirectionally to avoid uncontrolled air loss during uncontrolled unsealing of the valve. The wide valve allows you to quickly inflate the mattress.

Pillow lock system

Easily attach the Sea to Summit pillow to the Sea to Summit mat to sleep without slipping.

Designed to keep the pillow exactly where it should be - on the sleeping mat - the unique PillowLock™ Velcro fasteners have been standard equipped with all mats since mid-2019.

R-Value

The R-value (resistance value) is a measure used to assess how effectively a sleeping mat is resistant to heat loss. This is the only way to find out how well the mat will prevent heat from draining from the body through the substrate temperature (which can be much lower than the air temperature).

This value can be tested on site, but at Sea to Summit our mats are independently tested in the laboratory according to precisely controlled standards.

The new ASTM F3340-18 industry standard has just been introduced and all Sea to Summit mats have been tested to this standard since 2020.
