Application:

FERDOS is intended for use in water softeners - FERDOM dosonators, for example, in the FD406 and FD404 models issued at separate auctions.

FERDOS polyphosphate is also used in filters/water softeners - FERDOM dosonators separately issued: FD401 i FD402.

Purpose of using dosonator - softener FD406 or FD404:

- FERDOM dispensers prevent limescale and sediment build-up and protect water installations from corrosion.

- Protect boilers, heat exchangers, heating, washing machines, dishwashers, etc., prevent deposits on the fittings.

- The dose of the minimum amounts of FERDOM Ferdos (3-5mg / 1m3) with a chelating - sequestering effect.

- Includes a cartridge for about 20 m3, spare cartridges are available. Easy wear control and preparation replacement.

- Boiler and heater manufacturers recommend protecting the installation when the water hardness exceeds 15° dh (hard / very hard).

Dosonators - principle of operation:

FERDOM anti-sediment and anti-corrosion dispensers dose Ferdos proportionally (Italian production), which, thanks to its composition, creates a microscopic and anti-sediment membrane on metal surfaces, so that water has limited contact with metal surfaces. At the same time, the preparation forms a colloidal suspension that does not allow calcium and magnesium to precipitate (sediments).

The preparation is dosed in microscopic amounts (3-5 parts per million). It is produced on the basis of food preparations. According to local regulations, it can also be used for drinking water (Italy UNI 8065).

Water hardness - impact on the system and fittings:

In most Polish territory (over 50%) water is hard or very hard. This has the following consequences; failures of boilers, heaters, heating systems, fittings, household appliances, etc. Sediments in boilers and exchangers also increase heating costs. Many manufacturers of fittings (e.g. boilers C.O.) recommends water treatment when hardness exceeds 15° dh (hard / very hard water)

Hardness also causes the formation of troublesome deposits on faucets, sanitary facilities or shower cabins and increases expenses on cleaning, cleaning and washing agents.

The hardness of water results from the sum of calcium and magnesium salts, which as a result of raising the temperature cause the formation of so-called deposits. boiler stone especially in places where there is the greatest thermal shock, such as: in boilers, exchangers, pipes, etc. This is due to a chemical reaction that causes the formation of calcium carbonate and carbon dioxide. Calcium carbonate precipitates, causing the fittings to encrust and block, while the carbon dioxide produced triggers the corrosive process.

Ferdos preparation based on sodium polyphosphate has an anti-corrosion and anti-sediment function - which, thanks to its composition, creates a microscopic and anti-sediment coating on the walls of fittings and pipes, and at the same time causes the formation of a colloidal suspension that does not allow calcium and magnesium ions to precipitate. Stopping the process of precipitation of ions reduces the amount of deposits and the amount of CO2 formation responsible for corrosion.
