Description of the SEAC Magica full face mask

SEAC full face masks are masks with a patented gas exchange solution, tested on SEAC patented machines for measuring respiratory resistance and gas exchange efficiency.

Due to the fact that in full face masks SEAC air exhaled, does not mix with inhaled, the mask is completely safe and THERE IS NO RISK of carbon dioxide poisoning even with long-term use.

Magica is a full face mask designed for snorkelling (surface diving), designed and manufactured by Italian manufacturer SEAC®.

The Magica mask allows you to explore the world beneath the surface of the water breathing naturally through your nose and mouth.

Safety at the highest level!

• The exhaled air is discharged through the PATENTED system located at the front of the mask to make the exhaust light and silent.
• A separate channel system for inhaled and exhaled air prevents evaporation and prevents carbon dioxide from poisoning yourself from your own exhaled air.
• Efficient purification system uses a drop valve at the bottom of the cover.

Features of the SEAC full face mask

Details on the safety of full face masks

Although there are no specific European regulations governing the production of full face masks for surface diving, SEAC® has developed a number of detailed tests in accordance with the values set out in the following European regulations:

• EN 1972:2015 lays down requirements for the design and manufacture of snorkels - reducing breathing effort;
• EN 16805:2015 lays down requirements for the design and manufacture of diving masks;
• EN 136:2000 lays down minimum requirements for the production of full face protective masks, limited to CO2 testing in inhaled air;
• EN 250:2014 on the independent compressed air breathing apparatus with open circuit and parts thereof, limited to tests to check CO2 inhaled air.

In SEAC laboratories, batches of full face masks are tested with Ansti machines, especially to measure the dynamic performance of human respiration, and with the proprietary SEAC equipment for checking CO2 levels in the air inhaled by masks. All this means that we can offer the user the best diving experience with complete safety, because thanks to the SEAC® full face masks, fun is as natural as breathing!

How to choose the size of a full face mask SEAC

To choose the right size, measure the distance from the eyebrow line to the beard and choose the size according to the following values:

• L/XL for faces over 12,5 cm
• S/M for faces over 11,5 cm
• XS/S for faces over 10 cm
• JUNIOR for faces under 10 cm

SEAC offers several models of full face masks. All of them have technology that guarantees the highest level of safety in terms of gas exchange. They come in a range of colors and sizes to fit children aged 6 and up.

Differences between full face mask models.

The LIBERA mask is the highest, characterized by the smallest inner surface and with double strap adjustment, allowing for a better fit. Lens embedded close to the eyes gives a better field of vision. The model initially produced with a silicone strap, for some time now SEAC has been introducing this model with a textile strap, under the same product code. From here you can find both of these versions on the market. The previous version is packed in a black mesh bag and carton. The new version is packed in a plastic, transparent zipper case.

UNICA mask is an intermediate model of mask, with a silicone apron and packed in a plastic bag / case with one wall of transparent foil.

UNICA MED mask is a model of UNICA, but with an apron made of SLT instead of silicone. SLT is cheaper than silicone and becomes less flexible over time compared to silicone. The model was created during the COVID19 pandemic, in response to the medical accreditation that SEAC UNICA full face masks received so that they could be used in hospitals for medical purposes, after installing an antiviral filter at the pipe site. This model is identical to the MAGIC model. Both are packed in plastic blister.
