- fights bothersome moss on paths and sidewalks
- also intended for the control of weeds and regrowths in amateur orchards and viticulture
- a measure intended for use by non-professional users
Randacol 680 EC is a measure designed to combat moss on hard and semi-permeable surfaces (hardened access roads, pedestrian paths, sidewalks, paved squares, fixed structures with hard or semi-permeable surfaces). Already one treatment eliminates moss, appearing on paths, sidewalks and access roads. Randacol 680 EC is a desiccant and non-selective herbicide, which means that it destroys all green plants (weeds and moss). Randacol 680 EC is also intended for use in allotment and backyard gardens in amateur cultivation of fruit trees for weed control and root regrowth, as well as in viticulture for as a preparation for weeds. The usable form of the agent for weeds and moss is a concentrate for the preparation of an aqueous emulsion.
The active substance of the agent for weeds and moss is nonanoic acid otherwise known as pelargonic acid. It is a component of natural origin, obtained from geraniums. Randacol 680 EC is safe and has a short withdrawal period of 1 day. Does not contain glyphosate. The prevention period provides the possibility of rapid use of the surface of the paths and driveways on which the measure was applied. Just wait until the usable liquid on the surface of the plants is completely dry, after which you can enter the paths.
How does Randacol 680 EC work?
The agent destroys the green, above-ground parts of plants. In contact with sprayed plants, it causes their deformation by destroying cell membranes and dehydrating them, and then inhibiting growth and dying. The agent most effectively destroys weeds in the early stages of development in conditions conducive to intensive plant growth (for weeds height not more than 10 cm, for root roots length not more than 15 cm). With proper use of the product, the effect of the agent can be seen already after two days from the application.
Randacol 680 EC has a much lower environmental impact than other weed agents. The agent does not have a soil effect, which means that after its application it is possible to grow crops subsequently. After application of the product, it is enough to wait until the usable liquid dries on the surface of plants and both people and animals can enter the area where the procedure was performed (this is the prevention period). When the procedure is performed in crops registered in the label, i.e. Apples, plums, grapes should be waited only 1 day to be able to harvest (this is the withdrawal period).
Weed sensitivity
- Vulnerable weeds: one-sided weed, common starfish, common dandelion, rough gray, common shrimp, white quinoa, Persian shunt, light purple, light pink.
- Medium sensitive weeds: common old man.
Attention! Randacol 680 EC is not a weed remedy in grass (for lawns), because it destroys any plants, will damage the lawn.
Method of use
The usable form of the preparation for weeds and moss is a concentrate for the preparation of an aqueous emulsion. The product is intended for use with hand sprayers.
Before applying the agent, calculate the dose of the working liquid needed, keeping strictly the doses recommended in the label. Shake the contents of the package before pouring into the sprayer tank. Pour the measured amount of agent into the tank of the sprayer partially filled with water. If we use the entire contents of the agent, the emptied package should be rinsed three times with water, and the rinses should be poured into the sprayer tank with usable liquid. Then fill the sprayer tank with water to the required/calculated amount. Mix the prepared liquid thoroughly. If you are taking breaks in spraying, repeat the mixing action each time before proceeding with further work.
It should be remembered that when using the agent for weeds and moss, do not allow the liquid to be lifted outside the area of application of the agent. Therefore, it is inadvisable to perform the procedure during the wind, creating the possibility of lifting the usable liquid on adjacent crops. In order to reduce the risk of lifting the working liquid, medium droplet spraying should be used, because thicker drops are heavier, so the risk of lifting decreases. In problematic places, i.e. where crops come into contact with the treatment area, we can lower the sprayer nozzle. Sprays with a preparation for moss and weeds can be performed from spring to autumn.
The effectiveness of the treatment depends on several factors: temperature, wind, precipitation. The agent has the best effect at temperatures above 10˚C. Possible precipitation can wash the working liquid from plants, so do not spray if rainfall is expected a day before and after the procedure. Why can’t the procedure be done after the rain? Because on moistened plants, especially moss, huge amounts of water are stored. After spraying, additional water on the leaves of plants dilutes the agent, so its effectiveness is limited. The occurrence of winds during the procedure can tolerate the working liquid to another place, bypassing the one that is the purpose of the procedure. It is also important to thoroughly cover the combated vegetation with working liquid, so perform the procedure very carefully, band by band.
Following these few rules, the effectiveness of the procedure will be optimal.
