Testosterol™ 250 is a preparation based on active phytosterol fractions.

Phytoterols are chemical compounds derived from sterane, their core is 1,2-cyclopentanoperhydrophenanthrene. In the chemical classification, phytosterols belong to steroids - they contain a sterane core with a hydroxide group at position 3 and a side chain at position 17. The biological properties of sterols depend on the number and nature of lateral substituents, especially at carbon 17 (17C). Steigmasterol and sitosterol phytosterols have a structure similar to cholesterol, progesterone, pregnenolone and 17-hydroxypregnenolone. Thanks to this, sterols administered for a long time are a precursor in the synthesis of pregnenolone. Pregnenolone is the primary substrate for the biosynthesis of progestogens from which 17-ketosteroids, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticosteroids, testosterone, androsterone and estrogens are formed. Pregnenolone undergoes transformations aimed at the formation of all steroid hormones. These biochemical reactions are catalyzed by cytochrome P450. Iron preparations condition and exacerbate these reactions.

The biological effect when administering Testosterol™ 250 is diverse and depends on many endogenous (intraderived) and exogenous (extrinsic) factors. The quantitative relationships between steroid hormones existing in the body before administration of the product are extremely important, because the phytosterols present in it are not a substrate for synthesis only e.g. testosterone, but also other steroid hormones. Some metabolites of phytosterols can mimic typical hormones in the body and compete with them for receptors in the cells of the body, thus modifying many physiological activities. The result of these events is the regulation of quantitative relations between: 17-ketosteroids, testosterone, progesterone, androsterone and corticosteroids. There is also a high probability of increasing the biosynthesis pathway of one of the steroid hormones, the intensity of which is hereditary and whose potency is maximum. Phytosterols then give the effect of "metabolic preference" and are an effective activator and substrate for a specific metabolic pathway.

Previous studies (from 2004) conducted in Poland on animals have proven that phytosterols administered together with well-balanced food increase muscle mass gains by 18-26%.

Phytosterols are phosphorylated after oral or parenteral administration. They are quickly absorbed from the intestines into the blood and lymph. Vitamin D, A and unsaturated fats increase the absorption of plant sterols. The preparation was enriched with rose extract with antioxidant activity and containing a complex of flavonoids-phenol acids, which intensifies the action of phytosterols. The prebiotic addition of Pruni inulini extract is intended to increase the absorption of the product.

Undesirable effects:

Biosterol® is a preparation with a high content of steroid saponins, designed to support the diet of athletes. The selection of compounds, including spirostane derivatives, has been aimed at increasing testosterone production and stimulating mental activity, which allows the implementation of exhaustive training plans.

Saponins are compounds of plant origin composed of two parts: aglycone - sapogenin (sapogenol) and glycone - saccharide. Saponins change the structure of cell membranes and thus epithelium, making them more permeable to organic components, including the proteins consumed. Saponins have the ability to attach to cholesterol, forming relatively stable compounds, pharmacologically active. Steroid saponins are derivatives of spirostane or furostane. They are formed on a sterane system with a cyclic lateral grouping. The side group consists of a 5-member ring and a 6-member ring. Both rings are connected by spiro C-22 carbon. Furostane-derived steroid saponins do not have a closed F-ring, but an aliphatic chain. In terms of anabolic properties, sarsasapogenin, diosgenin, jamogenin, smilagenine, tigogenin, hecogenin are used. These saponins have a hydroxide group in position 3, thanks to which, in the presence of catalysts, it is possible to convert them into steroid hormones or steroid parahormones with anabolic effect. In the human body there are appropriate metabolic pathways capable of biosynthesis of active steroid (anabolic) substances from these saponins, provided that the preliminary biochemical treatment that occurs under the influence of enzymes of symbiotic intestinal microflora occurs. These enzymes convert saponins into pregnan compounds (C-21) and androstan (C-19), which are substrates for the synthesis of testosterone and androsterone. For anabolic purposes, saponins with a double bond between C5 and C6 carbon are the most effective. Metabolic degradation of the side chain of steroid saponin (oxidation, reduction, dehydroxylation, dehydration), leads to the formation of compound C-19 (testosterone). Providing this type of androgen precursors with simultaneously normalized intestinal microflora can increase the amount of testosterone produced by up to 4 mg per day. Thanks to this surplus, it appears in the blood of the so-called. testosterone free, not protein bound. It is this free testosterone that provides the metabolic effect. The addition of phytosterols and insulin secretion stimulators (hydroxy-isoleucine precursors and activators, pure 4-hydroxy-isoleucine) contained in black cumin and fenugreek extracts provides additional stimulation of connective tissue and muscle tissue growth. Increased secretion of insulin causes: stimulation of glycogen and protein synthesis, facilitation of transport through cell membranes to the inside of cells – glucose, amino acids, potassium and fatty acids, inhibition of excessive glycogenolysis, depleting muscles in energy material.

One of the most popular plants providing steroid saponins was the earth mace (Tribulus Terrestris). Since the early 70s, this plant was used for the production of preparations stimulating metabolism, as well as secondary and tertiary sexual characteristics, including sex drive.

The anabolic potential of the agent is greater than in the traditional extract of the earth mace (Tribulus).

Dosage:
