Owerlok Janome 990D is a machine that can sew with a 3- or 4-thread stitch, thanks to which you can professionally finish the edges of the material.
The maximum speed at which we can sew is 1300 punctures per minute. Adjustable foot pressure and differential transport mechanism will help you easily sew knitwear, silk, elastic materials and even woolen blankets. Depending on the needs of , we can turn off or turn on the cutting knife. Noteworthy in the overlock Janome 990D are also color markings that will facilitate the threading process for people who have first contact with this type of device. ✅ Choice of stitches:
4-thread overlock - this is the strongest stitch in this overlock - perfect for joining and simultaneously throwing edges of sewn materials, e.g.: leggings, knitted skirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts and clothes made of loosely woven materials. It will also be a suitable stitch for throwing the edges of the seams of any material, in particular strongly fraying.
3-thread overlock (narrow and wide) - perfect for protecting the edges from fraying. Suitable for softer materials where there is no need for additional reinforcement.
3-thread rolling ala picotka - ideal for aesthetic finishing of edges of thin and medium materials and casting edges of very thin materials, e.g. chiffon and other heavily fraying/fraying materials.
3-thread roll (mereżka) - perfect for finishing the edges of thin materials in summer skirts, dresses, women's and children's blouses.

Importantly, switching the machine into mere sewing mode is done instantly, thanks to the movable stitch tongue built into the stitch plate, without the need to change the plate or foot.

A - GROOVER FOR EVEN STITCH GUIDANCE TO OVERLOCKS
As the name suggests, the guide will help you maintain a straight, even sewing line. It will be especially needed for flatlock stitches (flatlock stitches) and stitches in which the knife in the overlock is hidden (off) when sewing. The position of the guide can be adjusted easily. When sewing with a guide, it is enough to guide the edge of the material right next to its protruding element.
B - FOOT AND GUIDE FOR SEWING BEADS
The set will make it easier for you to precisely sew beads (1-4 mm in diameter) located on a string or line. With this foot, you can sew beads both on the edge and (with proper material assembly) anywhere else on the material.
C - FOOT FOR SEWING WITH COVERED STITCH
Foot enabling the overlock to roll up (rotate) the edges of materials with an indoor stitch. The adjustable foot guide guarantees that each material (regardless of thickness) can be properly placed and rolled up in one operation (throwing and finishing with covered stitch).
D, E - FOOT FOR SEWING TABS
The protrusion is a decorative strip sewn into the seam, in addition to the decorative function, it also acts as a reinforcement of the seam. If you want to sew or make a protrusion on the overlock, a specialized foot is necessary for this task. It is thanks to its design that it is possible to precisely sew the protrusion or make it. Thanks to the groove located on the bottom, the foot is perfectly guided along the protrusions, ensuring high precision sewing.
The foot is used for sewing tabs up to 3 mm in diameter (D), the foot is used for sewing tabs up to 4,5mm in diameter (E).
