This product is designed for effective control of moth caterpillars. It works on the plant surface. Contains the naturally occurring bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis, found on plants and in soil. These bacteria produce crystalline proteins that are activated in the digestive tract of caterpillars. Infected caterpillars stop feeding immediately after consuming the bacteria and die within 72 hours. Over time, they shrink and turn black.

Application:

The product is applied by spraying the plants (fine droplet spraying is recommended). It is recommended to apply the product in the morning or evening on cloudy days. Up to 3 treatments can be carried out in one season. It is advisable to use the product during the earliest stages of caterpillar development for maximum effectiveness. Lepinox Plus can be mixed with most plant protection products and some foliar fertilizers.

The recommended dosage is 10 g of product per 5 liters of water.

Active Ingredient:

Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki, strain EG 2348 (microbiological compound) - 150 g/kg (15%).

The boxwood moth, also called Asian moth, arrived from the east to Poland in 2016. The adult individual is large - he has wings with a span of about 40 millimeters. The coloration of the wings is also characteristic – they are light brown with a purple-blue sheen and a white spot in the large part of the wings. Like other moths, they also like to fly to light sources.

Caterpillars are happy to eat the latest shoots and leaves of boxwood. When adult forms of larvae (brown individuals) begin to roam on the boxwood, they can cause enormous damage. Their feeding may end up withering the whole plant.

Foraging the larvae of boxwood moth is characterized by:

• browning, withering of the plant;
• bitten leaves and shoots – mainly the latest ones;
• woolly coating on the plant.

An effective way to remove moths will be Lepinox Plus - the preparation contains naturally occurring bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis on plants and in the soil. Lepinox Plus is used with hand sprayers.
