Engraulis Ringens

Engraulis ringens is a species of marine fish from the anchovy family (Engraulidae), known in Polish as the Peruvian anchoveta or Peruvian anchovy .

Basic information

• Occurrence: Found mainly in the Pacific waters off the coast of Peru and Chile.
• Appearance: A small fish, usually up to 15–20 cm long, with a silvery body and quite large eyes.
• Habitat: It lives in large schools in the coastal zone, in the plankton-rich waters of the cool Peruvian (Humboldt) Current.

Peruvian anchovy oil (Engraulis ringens) is considered a very good source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Why is anchoveta a good source of omega-3?

• Rich in EPA and DHA – these two forms of omega-3 fatty acids are the best researched and most beneficial for health (they affect the cardiovascular system, brain, vision, and have anti-inflammatory effects).
• Low on the food chain , the anchoveta is a small planktivorous fish. Thanks to this, it accumulates less heavy metals and pollutants than large predatory fish (e.g. tuna).

Omega-3 fatty acids are compounds that have a number of health-promoting properties for the human body. The natural source of omega-3 fatty acids are mainly fish, vegetable oils or fats of animal origin. Most omega-3s contain fish oil. Omega-3 acids are a natural building material for the body. The human body itself is not able to produce omega-3 acids, so they should be supplied either in the diet or from other sources, e.g. dietary supplements - capsules with fish oil.

Precautions

Do not exceed the recommended daily allowance for consumption during the day. The product must not be used by children, pregnant or lactating women without medical consultation. The product cannot be used as a substitute (replacement) for a varied diet. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Ingredients 1 capsule: Fish oil, capsule shell: gelatin, moisture retainer: glycerol, water.
