Each paper sachet with a pendant contains 1000 predatory mites and crumbs (in all stages of development) mixed with bran.

Use of Thripex Plus

Thripex-Plus is used for the biological control of various species of thrips (hatching eggs and larvae). Predatory mites can also feed on spider mites (e.g. Strawberry and greenhouse mite), several other species of mites, fall or pollen.

Thripex Plus:

Adult predatory mites actively search for prey and prey on them.

How to use Thripex Plus:

• Hang sachets directly on plants (sachets already have holes through which mites come out).
• Sachets should be hung on plants in sheltered places (without direct access to solar radiation).
• Hold the sachet by the cardboard strip at the top. Predatory mites are easy to damage.

Thripex-Plus also contains mites from the family of crumbling and bran. These mites can cause slight damage to some crops, especially for a large population of mites and high humidity.

Optimal conditions for use of Thripex Plus:

Predatory mites do not go into a state of diapause, so they can be used throughout the year. Relative humidity should exceed 75% and the temperature should exceed 20°C for several hours a day.

How to store:

Useful organisms have a very limited lifespan, so they need to be placed on plants as soon as possible after collection. Failure to meet this condition may have a negative impact on the quality of these organisms. If you need to store Thripex-Plus, follow the instructions below.

• Storage after receipt: 1 to 2 days
• Storage temperature: 10 to 15°C

Dosage

Average is taken:

1. Preventively - 3 sachets per m2 every 1,5 months or 1 sachet for about 3-4 medium-sized plants growing side by side
2. Low pest severity - 3 sachets per m2 every 3-4 weeks or 1 sachet per about 3-4 medium-sized plants growing side by side
3. Large severity of pests - 4 sachets per m2 every 3 weeks or 1 sachet per about 2-3 medium-sized plants growing side by side

Below is additional information about mites:

Use of Benefactor:

1. Date on sachet e.g. 12/13 - date on sachet specifies date i.e. "production" / delivery to Polish from a manufacturer from the Netherlands, sachets are delivered to Polish suppliers always on Thursdays or Fridays in a given week, so the manufacturer means so the date of shipment as a turn of weeks, in the case of above shipment took place on Thursday or Friday at the turn of 12 and 13 weeks.
2. The hatching time - mites in sachets are at different stages of development, from the moment of their production they hatch within 4-6 weeks if there are favorable conditions for this, i.e.: storage conditions - temperature about 10-12 degrees, humidity about 50-70 degrees, hatching conditions: temperature about 20-23 degrees, humidity min 80%
3. There is no such thing as a specific day or week of hatching for living creatures , just as a hen lays eggs over a period of 3-5 weeks, chicks do not hatch in one day or one week, eggs can be stored for e.g. 2-3 weeks and then they hatch, and their hatching does not occur at the same time but over a period of days or weeks depending on the conditions. A benefactor is a living creature, it is not electronics that has a certain time to turn on and off.
4. What to do to make the mites hatch: stable temperature min 20-23 degrees, air humidity min 80%.
5. I have met the conditions and the beetle did not hatch within 24-48 hours - the conditions are not met, most often it is too low air humidity, if you have an air humidity meter without approval, it does not show the real measurement because it is a temperature-couple sensor and does not have a temperature compensation function, so it shows incorrect air humidity, a good sensor costs around PLN 500 with a certificate, anything below without a certificate has no chance of showing real results, air humidity in our homes is on average around 50% in summer and around 30-45% in winter during heating, the beetle will not hatch in such conditions - use the method described in our green leaflet added to the receipt.
6. Benefactor's action: when reaching the mines of hatching conditions after about 24 hours, you can observe the first worms in large quantities spreading on the plant, these are microscopic yellow worms that look like pollen and you can see their movement. On average, it only takes a few days to "swing" them around the plant to eat all the pest, i.a. thrips and spider mites.
7. What is the difference between a multi-eating benefactor and a California benefactor and why it is worth using:

- there are almost 2x more mites in the sachet

- these worms also feed on other mites so they live longer and are able to clean larger parts of the plant from pests

- multi-eating benefactor does not feed on only one type of pest, eats the two most common worms in our plant breeding, such as thrips and spider mites and many others.

In the event that something went wrong and the benefactor did not hatch within 24-48 hours of hanging on plants, describe the situation and conditions and we will tell you what to do.
