Mask for underwater hunting Subea 900 Dual micro-volume
Mask with a very small volume, which allows diving to large depths with little compensation, for underwater hunting and freediving. The ultra-soft silicone collar provides excellent comfort, while the micro-volume of the mask allows you to equalize the pressure during immersion.
Micrometric buckles with serrated straps on each side of the mask allow for easy and precise adjustment, even with gloves.
The volume of air trapped in the mask, between the face and the glass, is called the internal volume. For those who dive apnea and practice hunting, the inner volume of the mask should be as small as possible to facilitate compensation.
Pressing the mask to the face takes place when going down. From the moment of immersion, the pressure presses on the soft apron of the mask and reduces its internal volume by pressing the mask to the face. To prevent this phenomenon, painful for the eyes, it is important to equalize the pressure inside the mask with the pressure exerted by water. To do this, it is enough to blow slightly through the nose. The air is so valuable in these sports that the pressure equalization action must be minimal.
Silicone is an extremely soft material. The silicone collar adapts to the shape of the face, which promotes the tightness of the mask. This material is hypoallergenic.
