Designed and developed in Italy using the most advanced digital tools, the Suomy helmet has been rigorously tested by Ducati Corse’s factory world champion, Pecco Bagnaia, to ensure its superior performance.

The S1-XR GP meets FIM standards (the highest standards of motorcycle helmets) and boasts improved aerodynamics for a smoother ride and professional racing performance, thanks to more than three years of wind tunnel and track testing to optimize aerodynamics in various riding positions (straight ahead, cornering and braking). The increased vertical and peripheral field of view (92 degrees and 210 degrees) play a key role and allow the driver to drive safer.

The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that allows for a lighter, but at the same time harder and more protective shell.

The new composite is a blend of carbon fiber of varying weight/load combined with fiberglass and aramid fibers that provide a lighter but much more impact-resistant shell.

To satisfy even the most demanding customers, the S1-XR GP is manufactured in three different shells: S, M, L and XL.

Protective polystyrene

The polystyrene inner lining is produced in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) for better ergonomics and variable density. This feature allows for gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact.

Even if most of the energy generated by the impact is absorbed by the outer shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the remaining power.

The different density of polystyrene allows you to optimize the mechanical performance of the shell-polystyrene, ensuring the maximum level of absorption in all areas of the helmet, in accordance with the normative requirements of FIM.

Viewfinder

The viewfinder is made of injected polycarbonate of variable thickness.

It is easy to disconnect thanks to a system that does not require any tools. The release lever is made of a special light alloy, which provides greater strength to the assembly.

The canopy is also equipped with a light alloy "Racing Lock System" mechanism. This mechanism reduces the possibility of disconnection in the event of a collision and makes the system more intuitive.

Pinlock

The S1-XR GP is prepared and equipped with the PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the most efficient anti-fog system on the market.

Ventilation

It is during the hottest Grand Prix that the rider is required to concentrate and endurance the most. Being able to count on efficient ventilation makes all the difference.

The S1-XR GP has seven air intake channels that work with a carefully integrated channel system, guaranteeing excellent airflow inside the helmet.

The hot air extractor is a marvel of aerodynamics: two submerged air extracts, working with the rear spoiler, create a Venturi effect over the exhaust ports to draw out the hot air.

Interior

Cheek pillows and inner comfort can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of valuable Hydrocool material with special fibers that offer the following features:

• Lightweight material, soft and breathable
• The cheek pads can be customized and easily removed in an emergency thanks to the quick release system.

The S1-XR GP is prepared for camel-bag system.

Attachment system

The chin is equipped with a DD-ring attachment system for easy release of the attachment system.

For the second year in a row, Suomy celebrates Pecco Bagnai’s extraordinary victory in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship by presenting a LIMITED EDITION replica of the gold helmet that the current world champion wore at the Valencia Grand Prix on November 26!

The design of the stunning S1-XR GP gold helmet worn by Pecco is once again the result of the collaboration between VR46 and Starline.

The unique S1-XR GP PECCO WC 2023 GOLD LE helmet was produced in a limited edition of 1123 units, which is a significant number that allows you to recreate and celebrate all the successes achieved by Pecco in his career:

The number 11 means November, in which Pecco won the World Championship title at the Ricardo Tormo;

Number 2 is the number of MotoGP World Championships won by Pecco, the first in 2022 and the second in 2023;

The number 3 symbolizes the number of World Championships won jointly by our World Champion, two of them in MotoGP (2022-2023) and one in Moto2 (2018).

The replica was produced in gold metal color.
