SHIMANO ALIVIO FX TELE SURF and ALIVIO BX SURF are new, inexpensive surfcasting rods offered by Shimano. We equipped them with Shimano Hardlite guides, good for use with both fishing line and braid, and with the Shimano DPS reel seat. The Alivio FX Tele Surf rod was built on an XT40 blank, giving you more power, while the Alivio BX Surf on an XT30 blank, allowing you to cast further.
