Saw palmetto supports the proper functioning of the urinary system in benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate). It is used for ailments such as weak urine flow, frequent urination and urgency. Thanks to the content of fatty acids, it contributes to maintaining a healthy reproductive system. In addition, it supports natural hair growth in men.

Saw palmetto (Latin. Serenoa repens) is a plant belonging to the Arecaceae family. Other functioning names are sawed siding and saw palmetto. It occurs mainly in the south-eastern areas of North America, but also in North Africa, India and Southern Europe. This evergreen plant forms thickets, often in coastal areas and dunes.

It can also be found in the lining of bright pine forests and savannahs. It prefers sunny positions with well-drained soil with an inert, slightly acidic or slightly alkaline pH. It is resistant to drought, high salinity and low nutrient content in the soil.
