Boswellia Serrata (incense) is a tree that grows in Western and Central China and India, as well as in Nigeria and East Africa. Incense has been used for thousands of years in Indian medicine, e.g. for arthritis or rheumatoid conditions. It lowers cholesterol levels, supports weight loss. The active compound in boswellia are boswellic acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties.
Curcumin is obtained from the rhizomes of long oyster, also called turmeric or Indian saffron. Turmeric is commonly known as an ingredient in the spice "curry", giving it a distinctive taste and yellow coloration
Curcumin is characterized by a wide spectrum of action not only at the cell level, but also at the whole body. Its biological activity is very diverse. It has the ability to affect various biomolecules: receptors, cytokines, transcription factors, growth factors or enzymes, e.g. kinases.
