What is Cordyceps?
Cordyceps is a parasitic fungus that occurs naturally in the Himalayas – China, Tibet, Nepal and India. Its life cycle is unique: it infects the larvae of insects living underground, gradually taking over their body, and then grows to the surface.
Due to the limited occurrence and difficult sourcing conditions, natural cordyceps is very rare and reaches high prices. Therefore, its breeding forms are also currently used, which allow for wider use of this raw material.
