Polyunsaturated fatty acids omega-3 are essential fatty acids (EFAs) that contain a double bond at the third carbon atom, counting from the methyl end of the chain. Omega-3 fatty acids include m.in. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), compounds that are found in food primarily in fatty marine fish and seafood.
The vitamin E present in the dietary supplement is a group of chemical compounds called tocopherols. The most biologically active form of the ingredient is D-alpha-tocopherol used in OstroVit Omega 3 Easy to Swallow. The substance can be delivered to the body along with food - the ingredient is m.in. in vegetable oils, hazelnuts or germs of cereal seeds, as well as in the form of dietary supplements.
