UC-II Undenatured Type II Collagen from NOW Foods is a high-quality supplement that supports joint health and functionality. One capsule contains 40 mg of standardized chicken cartilage containing UC-II®. Cartilage is one of the main connective tissues in the body. UC-II® is a patented form of collagen with undenatured (native) type II collagen. Collagen type II is the main structural protein in cartilage, which is responsible for its strength and flexibility. Adequate level of collagen in the body to ensure the health of the skin, gums and teeth. It also enables the proper functioning of blood vessels. The calcium contained in the supplement is needed to maintain healthy bones and teeth. Contributes to normal blood clotting. It also maintains normal energy metabolism and proper nerve transmission.
