In high doses, Panax causes an increase in blood pressure, hence it is inadvisable in people with known hypertension. Among the side effects are also symptoms of excessive stimulation of the central nervous system (euphoria, anxiety), general nervousness, accelerated heartbeat, headache, hence the use of ginseng in people with insomnia, asthma, high fever, with a tendency to headaches and palpitations.
