An image displayed in a very bright room has faded colors, even if its source is a high-power projector. However, the Bright View technology developed by Sony provides a clear image without losing color. Thanks to the latest, improved Reality Creation technology, photos, diagrams and text are sharp and legible even in strong light. Smart settings with Ambiance mode adjust the displayed image to the environment to create better viewing conditions. The projector even comes with a light sensor to measure the brightness in the room.

Reality Creation technology uses powerful resolution enhancement algorithms to deliver similar clarity to 4K. Reality Text technology, which is used to improve the visibility of text, is useful in conference rooms and classrooms.

21:9 format support opens up new possibilities

The 21:9-enabled projectors provide a new dimension of realism and immersive experiences, making them an essential piece of equipment for those who want to captivate, educate, and entertain with images. In addition to 16:10 and 16:9 formats, the VPL-FHZ85/80 now also supports 21:9 format with a 2560×1080 output signal, allowing hybrid meetings to be held on ultra-wide screens to create a greater impression of remote participants.

On the other hand, Ambiance further improves the quality of hybrid meetings by optimizing brightness, colors and resolution depending on the conditions in the conference room, thanks to which the facial expression of remote participants is visible to the participants of the meeting even when sharing content on the screen.

Sharp, crisp image

The authors of the presentation increasingly use photos and videos in 4K resolution. VPL-FHZ85/80 projectors have WUXGA resolution, but support 4K 60p input signals, so they can display images in near 4K quality. Sony Reality Creation processing technology has been improved to better display 4K content. As a result, images are clearer and have more depth.

The lightweight, compact VPL-FHZ85/80 projector is an elegant element of the modern workplace. It is maintained in a discreet style that harmonizes with the environment. Thanks to the flat top of the housing, less attention is paid to ceiling mounting. The installation is simplified by a number of separately offered lenses. The largest lens axis change range in this class of equipment allows you to cope with such difficulties as obstacles on the ceiling and the presence of other AV devices.

The replacement of lenses is facilitated by a mounting system with a bayonet connector.

Support 4K 60p input signal

Support for 4K 60p input signal makes it easier when using VPL-FHZ85/80 projectors on systems with multiple screens and other devices, such as additional monitors. Thanks to it, you can separate the source 4K signal, bringing it without conversion to all devices.

Increased brightness for longer periods of time

While other projectors may gradually lose brightness, the VPL-FHZ85/80 projectors are designed for stable image brightness. The “Smart Settings” function automatically monitors the actual working conditions and optimizes the settings so that the image has a constant brightness. The airtight housing of the laser light source and the automatic dust filter cleaning system ensure efficient operation without compromising image brightness.

The “Smart Settings” feature simplifies installation. It allows you to choose the best parameters depending on the method of use, image detail, richness and color fidelity, brightness, cooling level and volume level. In “Meeting room/classroom” mode, the projector controls the laser power to maintain maximum image brightness during the actual period of use.

Effortless filter cleaning

To see an excellent picture, you do not need to deal with time-consuming maintenance. The automated filter cleaning system removes dust every 100 hours of operation, ensuring free air supply and optimal cooling.

"No" to dust

The sealed housing of the laser light source prevents dust accumulation and decreases brightness. In turn, the channel used to cool 3LCD panels in the projector is protected by an air filter, protecting against dust penetration into the interior.
