Benzoin resin is a balsamic resin obtained from the bark of several species of trees in the genus Styrax. It is used in perfumes, some types of incense, spices and medicine. Its main ingredient is benzoic acid. Commonly referred to as "benzoin", it is referred to herein as "benzoin resin" to distinguish it from the crystalline benzoin compound. The benzoin resin does not contain this crystalline compound. Benzoin is also called benzoin gum or benjamin gum, benzoin is not a water-soluble polysaccharide.

The most durable perfume extract contains up to 40% of oils (usually 25%).

ESDP (Esprit de Parfum) waters contain 15-30% oils.

EDP Eau de Parfum contains 12-25% aromatics.

In toilet waters (EDT) - 6-18%.

The colognes are approx. 5-7% of oils.

aftershave - 2-4%.

Refreshing waters, i.e. mists - up to 5%.

To make your own perfume or toilet water, you should mix the oil compositions with alcohol, usually 80%, and leave it in a dark place for a minimum of 3 weeks. It is advisable to shake the perfume bottle at least once a day in order to better mix the oil with the alcohol.

After 3 weeks, the perfume is ready for use.

BENZOIN OIL COMES FROM SUMATRA, IT IS OBTAINED FROM THE Bark of STYRAX TREES. EXTRACTED WITH ETHANOL, THEN EVAPORATED UNDER LOWER PRESSURE. IN THE FINAL PHASE, MIXED WITH GLYCOL TO OBTAIN THE RIGHT STRUCTURE FOR THE ESSENTIAL OIL.
