Sanity Senior Plus TMB-2288-C is an automatic shoulder blood pressure monitor designed to measure blood pressure by oscillometric method. The device has been equipped with a voice message function, thanks to which information on operation and measurement results are transmitted in an audible form. The large and easy-to-read display makes it easy to read the parameters, and the FDS (Fast & Delicate System) technology allows you to measure already when pumping the cuff. The model is designed for two users and additionally offers a guest mode. The device has a memory of up to 250 measurement results for each user, the function of calculating the average of recent measurements, detection of irregular heart rhythm, a sensor of correct cuff insertion and the function of detecting excessive movement during measurement. In addition, it allows you to transfer data to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth technology. The set includes a 22 to 32 cm cuff, air hose, case, USB Type-C cable, USB power adapter, batteries, and an instruction manual.

Indications

A medical device designed to oscillometrically measure blood pressure on the arm in adults. The device is intended for home use by two users, including the elderly and visually impaired.

How to use a medical device

Before the first use, set the date and time so that the results stored in memory are marked with the correct measurement time. To start work, press and hold the START/STOP button, and then select the user profile. The cuff should be put on the shoulder, guiding the cord on the inside of the hand according to the direction of the ring finger. There should be room between the arm and cuff to insert one finger. When measuring, sit in a comfortable position, resting the arm on a flat surface at the height of the heart. After starting the device, the measurement begins when pumping the cuff, and the result is displayed on the screen. If an irregular heart rhythm is detected, the corresponding symbol will appear on the display. The device uses the oscillographic method and allows you to measure systolic pressure in the range from 60 mmHg to 230 mmHg, diastolic from 40 mmHg to 130 mmHg and heart rate from 40 to 199 beats per minute. It is equipped with an automatic shutdown and energy saving function.

Precautions and contraindications

Do not repair the device yourself or modify it. Any defects should be reported to an authorized service center. The device, cuff and power supply should be stored in a dry and clean place, away from moisture, high temperatures, dust and direct sunlight. Crushing, stretching and bending of the cuff wire should be avoided. Do not wear a shoulder cuff with an IV attached, a blood transfusion or a limb undergoing medical procedures that may affect circulation. In the case of mastectomy, the cuff should be placed on the shoulder on the opposite side of the procedure. Do not take too frequent measurements, as they can affect blood circulation in the limb. If you experience pain or discomfort during the measurement, the test should be stopped immediately. The device is not intended for use in newborns and infants or for continuous monitoring of patients in emergencies or during surgery. Do not use the device near high-frequency surgical equipment, in an oxygen-rich environment or in the vicinity of flammable anesthetics. People with arrhythmias, pregnancy, fistulas or other diseases that may affect the measurement result should consult a doctor. The device contains electronic components sensitive to electromagnetic interference, so a distance of at least 30 cm from wireless devices such as mobile phones or routers should be maintained during measurement. Only accessories recommended by the manufacturer should be used. The battery must not be heated, deformed or thrown into the fire. In case of a longer period of non-use of the device, the batteries should be removed.
