The grill is made of structural steel S235JR (hot rolled).
The steel is not coated with paint or varnish coatings, so that:

When grilling, food is only in contact with pure steel.
Many grills use heat-resistant paints, which are mainly intended for external elements.
This grill uses raw steel without coating, so that:

The grill is made of raw steel (not stainless steel).
Under the influence of temperature and moisture, natural patina or surface rust may appear, which is a typical phenomenon for structural steel and does not affect the operation of the grill.
Before the first grilling it is recommended to:
1 light the grill and heat it for about 15 to 20 minutes
2 grate lightly lubricate with vegetable oil
3 reheat the grate
A natural protective layer similar to that used in cast iron pans is created.
To make the grill last as long as possible:
• clean the grate with a steel brush after use
• store the grill in a dry place
• you can wipe the steel with a thin layer of vegetable oil
In the event of rust, it is enough to clean the surface with a steel brush.
