The keto breath analyzer must be exhausted before first use. To do this, turn on the Keto breath meter, wait for the 20-second countdown to complete, and turn it off. Repeat the same procedure 1-2 times (without blowing) before proceeding to the first test. During testing, please blow for 5-6 seconds immediately after "START" showing then the ketone breath analyzer will start to analyze your breath, the results readings will be visible for 10 seconds

Precision and Accuracy: The ketosis breath analyzer can accurately measure ketone levels in the breath. It uses advanced semiconductor sensors to provide reliable data, helping to monitor the state of ketosis. The ketone breath meter is calibrated to detect acetone concentration, ensuring consistent and accurate results are obtained, which is highly effective for those following a ketogenic diet.

Our respiratory ketone meter accurately measures acetone levels in exhaled breath — a direct marker of fat metabolism during ketosis. Ideal for ketogenic dietitians, it simplifies tracking fat burning performance, with higher levels of acetone indicating increased fat-to-energy conversion. Fast, easy, and precisely designed, it offers a hassle-free alternative to traditional finger or urine tests.

Pre-measurement warnings: Be careful about factors that may affect your results, as the device is with a high-sensitivity sensor and avoid brushing your teeth, smoking, drinking or eating food 30 minutes before taking the test to get accurate results. In carefully analyze and track test results, we strongly recommend that you test your ketone levels under the same conditions every time, right after waking up in, before consuming anything in a fasting period!

Very important tips before you start using our breathing ketone meter:

1. According to keto research, during a ketogenic diet, reducing carbohydrates leads to the body using fats as fuel. Acetoacetate can then be converted into pozostałe two ketone bodies, acetone and BHB (b-hydroxybutyrate). Respiratory ketones (Acetone) are spontaneously released when fat is metabolized into energy.

2. B-hydroxybutyrate is measured using blood meters, while acetone diffuses in the lungs and can therefore be measured by examining exhaled breath.

3. A ketometer is a device that measures the amount of acetone in your breath. The more respiratory ketones, the more fat is metabolized to energy.

Simply put, different testing methods test different ketone bodies:

★BHB blood ketone meter test (b-hydroxybutyrate)

★Respiratory Ketone Meter Examining Respiratory Ketones (Acetone)

★Ketone Urine Strips testing Acetoacetate (Ketones in urine)

Why can't it be compared to urine ketone strips and blood ketone meters

Urine ketone strips: Urine ketone strips have been developed to detect acetoacetate present in urine. Part of acetoacetate is neither used nor stored. Instead, it is excreted directly in the urine, forming urine ketones. However, urine ketones are considered “waste ketones”, and their in urine content cannot directly reflect the efficiency of using ketone bodies in the body or fat – combustion efficiency. In fact, the better the ketogenic state, the more fully the body uses ketone bodies, and the brighter the color of ketones in the urine will be.

Blood ketone meters: Blood ketone meters focus on measuring β - hydroxybutyric acid (BHB) in the bloodstream. Acetoacetate can be converted into β-hydroxybutyric acid (BHB) and stored in blood, which is commonly known as ketones in the blood. BHB and acetoacetate (ACAC) can be converted into one another. Some blood ketones can be considered as a "reserve" of ketone bodies, while the other part can be directly burned for energy. After burning energy - supplying part of the ketones in the blood and using, acetone is produced.

Therefore, the values obtained from the blood ketone meter and our respiratory ketone meter cannot be meaningfully compared due to fundamental differences in the substances they measure.

Conclusion: To ensure an accurate and meaningful interpretation of your body’s ketosis status when using our respiratory ketone meter, it is important not to compare its results with those of urine ketone strips or blood ketone meters. Each of these testing methods serves a distinct purpose in monitoring different aspects of ketone metabolism.

How do I get accurate ketone readings?

1.

To do this, turn on the Keto breath meter, wait for the countdown to finish 30 seconds, and turn it off. Repeat the same procedure 1-2 times (without blowing) before proceeding to the first test. During testing, please blow for 5-6 seconds immediately after "START" showing then the ketone meter will start to analyze your breath, the readings will be visible for 10 seconds.

2. Beware of factors that may affect your results, as the device is with a high-sensitivity sensor and avoid brushing your teeth, smoking, drinking or eating 30 minutes before performing the test for accurate results. In carefully analyze and monitor the state of ketosis, we strongly recommend that you test your ketone levels under the same conditions every time you wake up in , before consuming anything else fasting!

3. Note: There is a time delay before your ketone levels drop after consuming anything that is high in carbohydrates, so you can still get high readings after that. The time delay is different for each person, and it will also depend on how long you have been on keto life.

Instructions for reading acetone concentration in the breath (PPM):

0~2 PPM: You are not in ketosis or just before ketosis.

3~4 PPM: You are at a very early stage of ketosis.

5~10 PPM: You are in a mild state of ketosis. Fat burns at a low rate.

11~39 PPM: You are in optimal state of ketosis. It is a stable fat burning zone, the process of using fat by the body as the main source of energy.

40~59 PPM: Be careful! You're getting too close to ketosis. Adjust your level to below 40ppm.

60~99 PPM: Danger! You're too high a level of ketosis. Ketoacidosis.

Please note:

Green Light - Successful Ketosis Reading

Red light - Failed reading of ketosis

Amber Light - Low battery power
