Prospector 16’ is one of the most popular expedition Canadians in the world. It owes its popularity to its perfect construction. Prospector 16 built at Chestnut Canoe Company (the first indigenous Canadian canoe company) was probably described more often than any other Canadian. Blue Steel is a hybrid material: a combination of aramid ( Kevlar) with carbon fiber. The Canoe Blue Steels are light as Aramid Lite boats, but they are even stronger. Not only is the appearance of the carbon fabric very attractive, but the carbon fibers add rigidity to the hull which increases rowing efficiency. The addition of the Innegra inner layer and the saturation of these hulls with vinyl ester resin with high impact resistance makes it ?? canu becomes very durable.
