4-channel balancer LiFePO4 KT-04
The KT-04 balancer is used for serial connection of LiFePO4 batteries to keep the voltage of each battery at the same level during the charging process. During serial operation of batteries, their voltages may vary due to the chemical composition of the cells or their temperature. The voltage difference is also affected by the self-discharge process, which is slightly different for each cell. This is due to the fact that the cells inside the batteries are not the same, so they behave differently. The batteries are then unstable, i.e. one battery is overcharged and the other is undercharged. In addition, differences in the voltages of batteries combined in a series occur even before connecting the load. This means that simply connecting them in series can cause damage or premature wear.
The KT-04 balancer operates on the principle of electricity transfer.
The device starts working when:
› the charging voltage of one of the batteries reaches 14V,
› the voltage difference between two or more batteries is 0,1V.
The balancer is connected to the battery permanently to automate the energy balancing process, without the need for manual intervention.
