Display and design

The Xiaomi Redmi A5 phone features a modern design with a flat bezel and rounded edges for improved grip. The 6,88 inch screen is an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution (1640 x 720 pixels) and a density of 260 ppi. The display offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a typical brightness of 450 nits (600 nits HBM). Triple TÜV Rheinland certification (for low blue light emission, flicker-free and circadian rhythm friendliness) was used, as well as DC dimming function to reduce eye strain. The screen is protected by aluminosilicate glass. The dimensions of the device are 171,7 mm high, 77,8 mm wide and 8,26 mm thick, with a weight of 193 g.

Performance and memory

The central unit is the UNISOC T7250 octa-core processor, made in a 12 nm process, with a clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz. The graphics chip is Mali-G57 MP1. The smartphone has 3 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of internal memory eMMC 5.1. A dedicated slot for a microSDXC memory card is available, allowing you to expand the memory up to 2 TB. The device uses the Android 15 Go Edition operating system, with the promise of 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates for long-lasting support.

Camera photo

The camera kit includes a dual rear configuration. Main camera 32 Mpx with f/2.0 aperture and 1/3.6'' sensor. Cameras support AI, HDR mode, night mode and movie filters (Film Camera). Video recording with the rear camera takes place at a maximum resolution of 1080p at 30 frames per second. The front camera has a resolution of 8 Mpx (f/2.0) and also records video in 1080p@30fps quality, additionally offering a lighting function (fill light) in portrait mode.

Battery and connectivity

The phone is powered by a lithium polymer battery with a typical capacity of 5200 mAh. It supports 15W fast charging via USB Type-C port, although the power supply can be sold separately in some regions.
