TEMPERATURE TRACKING

ScanWatch 2 is the first smartwatch that continuously monitors body temperature and its fluctuations, which may indicate a developing infection or other diseases. The miniature heat change sensor and temperature sensor, combined with the heart rate monitor and accelerometer, provide reliable analysis of body temperature fluctuations.

EKG ON REQUEST

The most common cause of cardiac arrhythmia is atrial fibrillation. It is considered to be responsible for ok. 30% of strokes. 90% of them could be prevented if the flickering was diagnosed in time. ScanWatch 2 can perform an electrocardiogram (ECG) that detects atrial fibrillation early. The results obtained in this way can be easily made available to the doctor using the Withings application.

BLOOD SATURATION MEASUREMENT

ScanWatch 2 uses a multi-wave PPG sensor that emits red and infrared light, measuring the reflections of blood vessels in the wrist. Thanks to this measurement, it is possible to read SpO2 – an indicator informing about the percentage of oxygen in the blood. Normal values of this indicator range between 90 and 100%. You can measure your SpO2 level at any time, and the measurement readings will appear on your watch and in the app.

MONITORING OF RESTING HEART RATE

A multi-wave PPG sensor is used to monitor the heart rate, which measures blood flow in the arterioles and capillaries located in the wrist. ScanWatch 2 occasionally takes measurements on its own, giving you an image of your typical resting heart rate. If the user does not move for at least 10 minutes (located in rest mode) and the sensor detects a heart rate clearly higher or lower than normal, the watch will send a notification. Typically, the heart rate is in the range of 50 – 100 beats per minute, but this value can be different for each person. That’s why these forks are easy to change in the Withings app. If necessary, resting heart rate monitoring can also be turned off.

TEMPERATURE ZONES

During training, ScanWatch 2 monitors changes in body temperature and tells you which of the three zones you are in. Zone one is the warm-up zone: here the body temperature is the lowest. By spending a few minutes in it, you will gradually raise your body temperature and prepare it for exercise. The largest part of the training should take place in the second zone, which provides optimal conditions for muscle work. In turn, zone three should be avoided: it is a zone of overheating, and if it lasts too long, it can lead to muscle spasms, nausea, headaches and dizziness, and even loss of consciousness. If you see on your watch that you are in an overheating zone, immediately slow down or stop exercising and let your body temperature drop.

SLEEP SOUNDLY

ScanWatch 2 collects sleep data by measuring sleep duration and the time you fall asleep and wake up. It recognizes cycles (platelets and deep), sleep breaks, as well as breathing disorders and irregular heartbeat. All results are recorded in the application, and then, according to the algorithm developed by specialists, calculates the overall result of your sleep.

With its ultra-durable battery, you can monitor your health 24/7 for up to 30 days. It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the watch.
