MATERIALS USED IN PRODUCTION:

• Needle Surrounding Ring: Polypropylene
• Cannula: Stainless Steel
• Safety nut (external side) – Polypropylene
• Safety nut (inner side) – Polyethylene + dye
• Adhesive: UV (ultraviolet) adhesive
• Silicone oil : (poly)dimethylsiloxane (PDMS)

Parts of insulin pen needles are manufactured from medically harmless materials that comply with the requirements of EN ISO 10993-1:2009, bio-compliance tests and product characteristics. PEN meets the requirements of EN ISO 11608-2:2012 and EN ISO 9626:2016.

STERILIZATION:

Needles for insulin pens are sterilised with ethylene oxide in the final packaging phase using an approved sterilization process (EN ISO 11135-1:2014) guaranteeing SAL of at least 10-6 (EN 556-1:2001)

SHELF LIFE :

The packaging and its contents ensure sterility and usability of the product for a period of 5 years from the date of manufacture, including acceptable means of transport and storage.
