CEZARO HERBICIDE 574 SC 1L

AUTUMN SELECTIVE HERBICIDE WITH SYSTEMIC ACTION AND THREE MECHANISMS OF ACTION FOR USE IN WINTER CEREAL CULTIVATION

Cezaro 574 SC is a systemic selective herbicide for use in the cultivation of winter wheat, winter triticale, winter barley and winter rye. The agent is a concentrated suspension for aqueous solution. According to the HRAC classification, the active substance flufenacet belongs to group 15 (former group K3), the active substance diflufenican belongs to group 12 (former group F1), and the active substance florasulam belongs to group 2 (former group B). The agent contains 3 active substances with a different mechanism of action. The best herbicidal effect is achieved by using the hortifier for weeds located in the early stages of development, that is, during their germination or shortly after sunrise, from the seedling phase to the 2-3 leaf phase.

CONTENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES :

• flufenacetate (a compound from the group of oxyacetamides) – 312 g/l (25.83%),
• diflufenican (a compound from the group of pyridine carboxamides) – 250 g/l (20.7%),
• florasulam (a compound from the triazolopyrimidine group) – 12 g/l (0.99%),
• other non-active substances: 1,2-benzoisothiazole-3-one.

ACTION ON WEEDS :

Flufenacet is a systemic substance that belongs to the inhibitors of the synthesis of fatty acids with long chains. It is taken mainly by the roots and subleaf part of sprouting weeds. Flufenacet remains in the soil for many weeks after the procedure, which results in maintaining high herbicidal effectiveness also later. The best herbicidal effect is obtained by using it in the early developmental phases of weeds, that is, during germination or shortly after sunrise, in the seedling phase.

Diflufenikan is a contact substance (to a small extent moving in the plant), classified as inhibitors of carotenoid biosynthesis, dyes involved in the process of photosynthesis. The absence of these structures causes the leaf tissues to whiten and the cells to break down, which is especially evident in new tissues. Diflufenican remains on the soil surface for a long time after application, producing a thin layer that acts as a contact on emerging young, actively growing weeds. Taken by weeds during the germination period mainly by cotyledons, leaves and partly by roots.

Florasulam blocks the action of plant enzymes - amino acids acetylmlecate synthetase (ALS), which consequently inhibits the growth and development of weeds. It is taken by cotyledons and weed leaves. The first effects appear after a few days. Symptoms appear first on the upper parts of plant growth meristems as chlorosis and necrosis. The new upper leaves are wilted, followed gradually by leaves from the lower parts of the plant. On some species of weeds, redness of leaf veins occurs. Complete drying of leaves occurs in optimal weather conditions after 7-10 days, while in adverse conditions only after 6-8 weeks. The best herbicidal effect is achieved by using a weed agent located in the early stages of development, that is, during their germination or shortly after sunrise, from the seedling phase to the 2-3 leaf phase.

Vulnerable weeds: small bodice, field violet, common starfish, field poppy, coastal maruna, cereal broom, common shrimp, ivy shunt, clingy hug, field chamomile, self-seeding rapeseed.

Medium sensitive weeds: cornflower chaber.

DOSAGE :

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor field sprayers.

Winter wheat, winter triticale, winter barley, winter rye

Maximum / recommended dose for single use: 0,4 l/ha.

Term of use: Apply in autumn, from phase 1 of the leaf to half of the propagation phase (BBCH 11-25).

Recommended amount of water: 200-300 l/ha.

Recommended spraying: medium droplets.

Maximum number of treatments during the growing season: 1.

Plant succession and withdrawal period:

As part of the standard crop rotation after harvesting, the crop in which the agent was used can be sown without the need to plough: winter wheat, winter barley, winter triticale, rye. After ploughing to a depth of 10 cm, flax can be grown, and after ploughing to a depth of 20 cm, corn and root crops can be grown (e.g. carrots). After two growing seasons from the application of the agent and ploughing to a depth of 30, legumes can be grown. After three growing seasons from the application of the agent and ploughing to a depth of 30, onion plants and sunflower can be grown. If it is necessary to eliminate the plantation earlier as a result of damage to plants by frost, pests or diseases in this field, only flax can be grown, after ploughing to a depth of 30 cm.

Withdrawal period: not required

1. After application of the product on wheat, rye or barley plants, temporary phytotoxicity symptoms such as chlorosis, discoloration, growth inhibition may sometimes occur, without affecting the yield of cereals.

2. During operation, when the usable liquid is in the sprayer tank, attention should be paid to the full venting of the tank.

3. In order to minimize the risk of occurrence and development of weed resistance to herbicides, it is necessary to:

– use herbicides in rotation and/or mixture acting on several life processes of weeds (with different mechanism of action),

– use a herbicide with a given mechanism of action only 1 time during the growing season of the crop,

– use various methods of weed control, including crop changes, etc.

4. When using the product, do not allow:

– lifting the usable liquid on adjacent crops and areas adjacent to the sprayed area,

– overlapping of the usable liquid on the contacts of treatment belts and headlands.

Do not use:

– for plants weakened or damaged by diseases, pests, frosts, drought,

– at air temperature below 5oC and above 25oC,

– after night frosts and before expected frosts,

– in cereals with seedlings of fabaceae,

– for plants covered with frost,

– before the expected heavy rainfall,

– during the wind creating the possibility of lifting the usable liquid.
