COMPATIBILITY OF SPEED SENSOR BOSCH

The speed sensor is mounted from the first generation of Bosch electric bike motors and can be found on all Bosch electric bikes up to the second generation. Also in the next two generations of drives, from 2018 and 2020, this speed sensor was installed. In addition, a new speed sensor Bosch Slim, Speedsensor (BDU3xx, BDU4xx) was also developed and installed. In the 2022 model year, the new Bosch Slim for Smart System speed sensor is also available.

INSTALLATION OF THE BOSCH SPEED SENSOR ON AN ELECTRIC BIKE

To replace the speed sensor on your electric bike with a Classic Line motor, you must first remove the stone guard. It is attached to the motor housing with three screws. For Active and Performance engines, it is necessary to loosen the crank in order to replace it with a crank puller. Then unscrew the structural cover screws on the engine housing and carefully remove the left side. Now in both cases the speed sensor connector should be exposed. Now carefully pull out the connector with needle pliers. Avoid pulling directly on the cable. Now install the new Bosch speed sensor in reverse order.
