This is a bicycle chain checking tool and is made of carbon steel, the fitting is durable, wear-resistant, has a long service life and nice appearance. The long gauge makes the measurement accuracy more accurate than in short gauges.

The value of the chain wear and the method of measurement is printed on the fitting. Indication 0,0-0,49 informs us that such a value has a new unused chain, 0,5-0,74 informs us that it is still good to use it, while indication 0,75 and larger informs us that the chain should already be replaced. That is, the complete fall of this single outlet into the chain link informs us that the chain is already completely worn out.

Measurement is done quickly, easily and without removing the chain from the bike. Additionally, on the last photo we have included instructions for its use and proper reading of its indication

Product Information:

The CC-4 Chain Checker is a gauge that indicates when a chain reaches 0.5% and 0.75% wear, which are the points at which most manufacturers suggest replacement. Remember that a worn chain shifts poorly and wears out sprockets at an accelerated rate.

Instructions for use:

1. Lower the CC-4 onto the chain, holding the indicator tip above the chain (Figure 1).

2. Apply and maintain chain tension at the location shown in Figure 2.

Note: Maintaining pressure on the chain is crucial for an accurate reading.

3. While maintaining chain tension, press it onto the tip of the gauge to check if the chain is worn (Figure 3).
